Tracey Mulkins, age 53, of Marion, Illinois, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020 at 6:03 p.m. in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Tracey was born on April 6, 1967 in Marion, the daughter of Harry and Delores (Killman) Mulkins. She worked for Addus Health Care in Marion as a home healthcare aid and will dearly be missed by her clients and coworkers. Tracey was of the Christian faith and loved camping, taking float trips on the river, gardening and taking care of her plants, playing dice and board games and painting. She was a wealth of knowledge and information. Most importantly, Tracey loved her family and spending time with them.
Survivors include her daughters, Amber Mulkins of West Frankfort and Amy (Sean) Holder of Marion; four grandchildren, Skye English, Michael Bowen, Mia Shadowens and Keaton Cruse; her significant other, Jason Byrley of Marion; her father, Harry Mulkins of Marion; sister-in-law, Shelayne (Vernell) Pulley; niece and nephew, Jacqueline Mulkins and Kyle Mulkins; a special uncle and aunt, Roger and Mary Killman; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Delores Mitchem; and her brother, Billy Mulkins.
Funeral services will be held at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Kevin Bonifacious officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.
Visitation will be held at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, social distancing is advised and the wearing of masks is encouraged.
