Gloria J. Zimmer, age 74, of Herrin, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 1:24 a.m. in Herrin Hospital.

Gloria was born on November 14, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter to Wesley and Hallie (Holmes) Sizemore. Gloria was a retired Psychiatric Nurse for Union County Counseling of Anna, Illinois. She loved to go fishing, camping and make jewelry. She enjoyed spending time landscaping and tending to her garden.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis Warren of West Frankfort, Brian Warren of Marion; sister, Bonnie Sizemore of Herrin; five grandchildren, Ashley (Ryan) Smelcer of West Frankfort, Ashley Bethel of Marion, Michael Warren of Herrin, Kennedi Warren of Marion, Brilea Warren of Marion; three great-grandchildren, Emily, Matthew and Weston Smelcer; two nieces- Cassandra Seagle of Herrin and Katherine Hill and husband Mark Knepler of Herrin; numerous great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tammie Roper; and infant great nephew.

Memorial services will be held at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home, Herrin on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Matt Crain officiating. Burial will follow in Herrin City Cemetery.  A time of visitation will be held at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home on Friday, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home and will be accepted at the funeral home; 201 S. 13th Street; Herrin, IL 62948.
