Delbert and daughters, so sorry for your loss. I feel your pain because I just went through the same thing just one month ago. It leaves a hole in your heart. I met Delbert and Dodie when I went to church with them. She will always be in your hearts.

Dodi, we will miss your humor at church and seeing you walk down to the altar for prayer. We will met again on the streets of Glory.

I’m not exactly sure what this world will be like without Aunt Dodie in it. She has been a part of my life for nearly 57 years. From spoiling me as a little girl, to giving me my one and only Farrah perm at 13, her presence has always been bold and apparent. She gave the best hugs and kisses every single time we crossed paths. Our family will never be completely the same without her, but we will be better because of her. Aunt Dodie…you were so loved. Thank you for being such an important part of our lives. I will hold all those Christmas Eve gatherings close to my heart, your laugh forever in my thoughts, and cherish my memories of you always. I miss you already.

Jennifer and Scott and all of your family have my deepest sympathy. Your mother and I were in school together and attended Herrin First Christian Church. She was fun, talented and a good friend in our youth. May you have comfort in memories of her and may Doris/Dodie rest in peace as she goes on her eternal journey.
