Mickey Samples, 72, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 12:40 pm at his home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 1 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home.

For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Marion First Baptist Church Building Fund or Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.

    I am so sorry to hear about Mickeys passing. He was a wonderful man, and you have so many beautiful memories. My last memory is when I saw you both at the farmers market, and he had a big smile, as always! God bless you, Donna. He is in Heaven, no more sorrow, and no more pain.
