Joan Crawford Beadle

Zeigler- Joan Crawford Beadle, 74, of Zeigler, passed away at 5:59AM, Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin.

Joan was born on September 18, 1941 in Crenshaw Crossing to Virgil L. and Marie E. (Burke) Stacy. She married Dean L. Beadle on September 2, 1989 in Carbondale and he preceded her in death on May 18, 2005.

She was retired and formerly worked as a retail associate for Sears in Mount Vernon and as a homemaker. She was catholic and enjoyed planting flowers and keeping a beautiful yard. She was also a skilled quilter and made many fine quilts for her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include-

Son- John A. Pedigo and wife Brenda of McLeansboro

Son- Kenneth D. “Pete” Pedigo and wife Debra of Murphysboro

Daughter- Cynthia I. Matheny and husband Mike of Marion

Daughter- Candi K. Pedigo and David Pierce of Royalton

Daughter- Tracy L. Gillum and Gary Perry of Goreville

Daughter- Melissa A. Pierce and husband Andrew of Royalton

Daughter- Victoria G. Reed and husband Larry of Herrin

18 Grandchildren

24 Great Grandchildren

Sister- Wanda Gayle and Richard Simmons of Spillertown

Sister in law- B. Joan Stacy of North Carolina

Several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, step parents-Charles Reed and Lena M. Stacy and one brother- Virgil L. Stacy, Jr.

It was her with to be donated for anatomical study to Southern Illinois University Medical School in Carbondale. A celebration of life will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Christian Church in Royalton. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin assisted the family with anatomical donation.
