Emalie Josephine Bathon, 87, of Marion passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 3 PM at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, Indiana.

Emalie was born April 28, 1927 in Perry County, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Poiter) Dudek. She married Albert David Bathon in October, 1948 in Pinckneyville, and together they shared almost 38 years of marriage until his death on September 20, 1986.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church from 1961. Emalie along with her husband were the owners of Farm Fresh in Marion until retirement.

Survivors include her;Four children;

Dennis R. Bathon and wife Faye of Mt. Vernon

Maurice E. Bathon and wife Linda of Ft. Branch, Indiana

Elizabeth Wilson and husband Dennis of Herrin

Dale A. Bathon of Naples, Florida

Six grandchildren;

Timothy Bathon of Mt. Vernon

Kristen Carris of Vermont

Matthew Bathon and wife Amy of Silver Springs, Maryland

Crystal Sexton and husband Kurt of Arbor Springs, Kentucky

Kelli Bryant of Clearwater, Florida

Joseph McMillian of Herrin

Six great grandchildren;

Grant, Colin, Evan, and Andrew Sexton, Caroline Bathon, Alec Bryant

Sister – Susan Dudek of Pinckneyville

Sister in law - Florence Dudek of Pinckneyville

Preceded by her Parents, Husband, Brother – John Dudek and infant sister

The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 12 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. John C. Iffert officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 am – service time at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.

For those who prefer memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.
