Brian “Cody” Bloodworth, 25, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 10:18 pm at home.

Cody was born June 14, 1989 in Marion the son of Ernest Dale and Donna (Farner) Bloodworth.

Cody was an all around cowboy, if he wasn’t riding bulls, catching cows, riding or training horses he was training our hearts to love him. He is probably training the Kings horses today. Ride on “Meo”. Cody was always happiest with a good dog and a field full of calves to rope. If nothing else, folks should remember him as the fella with a crooked smile under the black wide brim hat. Cody was one in a million. Best friend you could ask for. He loved his friends and family and would do anything for anyone. He was the best son, brother and uncle to us. He was loved by so many and will be so deeply missed.

He attended Southern Range Cowboy Church and worked as a carpenter for Union #638.

I graduated in the same high school class as Cody. We knew each other and would often have classes together growing up. I will always remember Cody for being one of the first two people I met and played with in kindergarten when I first walked into class. Even at a young age, he was open and friendly and willing to talk to me. My condolences go out to those whom were close to him as he was a truly nice, honest, and friendly man.

I am so sorry for your loss. He was a fine young man. I watched him and my son ride bulls at several rodeos together and that crocked smile he had when he would ride his bull for the ’8 seconds”will always be a memory of him in my heart.
