Sylvia K. (Hightower) Francis, 85, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 11:27 pm at her son’s home in Marion.

Sylvia was born August 21, 1929 in Elkton, Kentucky the daughter of Creed Washington and Carrie Lee (Brewer) Hightower. She married Douglas Blake on October 23, 1946 in Kentucky and he preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 2 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
