Lorene (Ewing) Robinson, 81, passed away Wednesday, February 26, in Spartanburg, SC.

Lorene was born November 8, 1932 in Egypt, Mississippi the daughter of Gus and Adella (Blanchard) Ewing. She married Charles Robinson and he preceded in death in 2009.

She received her education at Patternson Grade School and Vine Street High School in Aberdeen Mississippi. Lorene accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age. She was a member of Paul’s Chapel Baptist Church, where she served as a faithful member, before joining the Seventh Day Adventist. She was a homemaker, who loved her family and her flower garden was something she really cherished.

Survivors include;

Son – James L. Walker of Joliet

Son – Willie W. Walker of Marion

Daughter – Debbie Ann Walker of Augusta, Georgia

Son – Raven James Huddson of Albany, New York

Son – Wallace C. Huddson of Marion

Daughter – Mary D. Berry of Marion

Preceded by her Parents, Husbands, five sisters and one brother

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Adrian Amarandei officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.

For those who prefer memorials may be given to the Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the Mitchell-Hughes funeral home, 800 N. Market St., Marion, IL.
