Lela “Deanene” Chitwood, 56, of Percy formerly of Marion, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 7:46 am at Sparta Community Hospital.

Deanene was born July 9, 1958 in Marion the daughter of Harold Dean and Lela Mae (Sullins) McKinney. She married Bobby Chitwood on December 23, 1984 in Marion and together they have shared over 29 years of marriage.

She formerly worked at Gilster Mary Lee in Steelville.

Survivors include her;

Husband – Bobby Chitwood of Percy

Mother – Lela Mae McKinney of Marion

Son – Robert Sims and wife Angie of Louisville

Son – Bruce Fosse and friend Tedra Rentfro of Marion

Son – Josh Chitwood and wife Amy of Dowell

Son – Nathan Chitwood of Percy

Loved like a daughter – Lisa Williams of Marion

Seven grandchildren

Brother – Harry McKinney and wife Cindy of Marion

Brother – Jeffrey Dean McKinney and wife Pam of O’Fallon, Missouri

Preceded by her Father.

Memorial services will be Friday, October 24, 2014 at 1 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Chitwood officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home.

    We will miss Sis very much and will remember all our family memories at holidays. Especially guessing beans in jar at Grandma Ethel, Deanene got biggest kick out of games. We have memories but that was fun, get togethers with family. We will always remember you. Love Jeff and Pam McKinney
