I was just thinking of Brenda the other day and remembering how she was so kind and thoughtful to us especially when Allyson would miss the school bus. She told me that if ever Allyson needed her she should call her and she would take her to school. What a God sent especially when work determines how quickly you can respond to your child’s needs. I am sure God is being kind and loving to her right now. All of you will be in my prayers.

Looking back on the friendships in my life, Brenda was one of those friends who are golden. For many years after high school, we kept in touch at birthdays and Christmas. February 12 will always be Brenda’s birthday for me. About four or five years ago, we both had moved and lost touch. I tried a few routes to find out her new address, but didn’t try hard enough.
Life is short. Heaven gained an angel, and we lost one.

My sympathy to Brenda’s loved ones. I had the privilege of working with Brenda at Hopkins Elementary. Brenda is a sweet, gentle soul. She was oh so proud of her daughter and loved to talk about her. I will always remember the twinkle in her eyes, her great smile, along with a heart full of compassion & kindness for others. May her Lord comfort & strengthen those grieving her passing.

“…we never lose the people we love. They continue to participate in every act, thought, and decision we make…We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.”

Jeff and Sam…We have been so blessed to have you as dear friends and neighbors. I have such fond memories of sharing skating and orchestra experiences with Brenda. We so enjoyed her cheery hospitality at the bonfires in your backyard. Speaking of yards, her love of gardening always shone bright in the care she took of her yard. It was always the most beautiful one on the street! Her support and kindness during our difficult time after Jerry’s accident were greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.

    Love,

~The Modicas…Leslie, Jerry, Jason, and Kelsey
