Johnston City- Kenneth James Semon, 61, of JohnstonCity, formerly of Evansville, IN, passed away at 6:37 PM, Thursday, December 5, 2013 at his home.
Kenneth was born on June 4, 1952 in Jonesboro, IL to Berthel and Edith (Nolan) Semon.
He was mechanically inclined and drove semi trucks and tow trucks for local contractors throughout the years. He was Pentecost.
In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his bicycle to different locations and collecting and antiquing. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Daughter- Laurel Semon of Evansville, IN
Seven grandchildren
Brother- Jack Semon of Germany
Brother- Berthel Semon of Arizona
Sister- Laura Carter of Aikins
Sister- Belle Wylie of Blairsville
Sister- Faye Howell of Hurst
Sister- Vera Coleman of Bush
Several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, son- Nathan Semon, and one sister- Betty Semon.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. R.H. Chitwood will officiate. Burial will follow at BlairsvilleCemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service, Thursday at the funeral home.
