Obituaries

Reba Reese

Marion- Reba Reese, 99, of Marion, died at 3:53 AM, Sunday, August 29, 2004 at Fountains Nursing Home in Marion.

Reba was born on March 4, 1905 in Williamson County to Albert Wiley & Florence (Borum) Herring. She married Ernest Gottlieb Reese on December 23, 1919 in Paducah, KY. He preceded her in death on November 19, 1969.

Mrs. Reese was a homemaker, having formerly worked for Sangamo Electric & Selmier- Peerless Cleaners. She was a member of the First Church of God and a former member of the Marion Senior Citizens where she performed in the Kitchen Band. Reba was also a former member of the VFW Ladies Aux.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers; William & Artie Herring, and one sister; Pearl Garland.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Michael Ebert & Rev. Carl Phelps will officiate. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at the funeral home.
