Charles G. (Burl) Downen
Marion- Charles G. �Burl� Downen, 67, of Marion, died at 10:25 AM, Monday, February 9, 2004 at Herrin Hospital.
Charles was born on June 30, 1936 in Christopher to Charles & Mammie (Webb) Downen.
Mr. Downen worked as a machinist at Maytag in Herrin for many years. He was a member of Cleburne Baptist Church in Zeigler.

His parents & one sister, Reba Cheatham, preceded him in death.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 12, 2004 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Denny Bush will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at the funeral home. At Mr. Downen�s request his body will be cremated.
