Martin Davis
Martin Luther Davis, 70, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 9:54 A.M. at his home in Marion
Martin was born May 10, 1943 in Union County the son of William Arthur and Stella (Cox) Davis. He married Shirley Boyt on Jun 10, 1977 in Marion and together they shared over 30 years of marriage. She preceded him in death on March 3, 2008.
He was an Army veteran, he proudly answered the call to serve his nation during the Vietnam War. Martin retired from Maytag where he had worked in the Paint Department.
Survivors include;
Sister � Wanda Schlenker and husband Fred of Lick Creek
Brother � Raymond Davis and wife Diane of Marion
Several nieces and nephews
Step Grandson � Dylan Davis of Marion
Preceded by his Parents, Wife � Shirley Davis, Brothers � Chester, William H. Davis and Sisters � Verda Lawrence, Lillian Gurley, Ada Gentry.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 2 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Hawk officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 � 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
