David Eugene Meracle
Marion- David Eugene Meracle, 64, of Marion, passed away at 8:23 pm, Saturday, June 26, 2010 at his home.
He was born on December 28, 1945 in West Frankfort to Eugene & Elizabeth (Harbison) Meracle. After graduation he joined the United States Navy and served in various locations until his discharge.
He worked as a welder in area coal mines until his retirement. He enjoyed music, playing pool and spending time with his good friends.
Survivors include-
Son- Sean Meracle of Chicago
Son- Brian Meracle of Energy
Grandchild- Seth Meracle of Vergennes
Sister- Cathy Brown & husband Bill of Harrisburg
Several nieces and nephews
Many close friends
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial visitation celebrating the life of David Eugene Meracle will be from 5-8:00 PM, Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home/ 201 South 13th St./ Herrin, IL 62948.
