Herminna D. Hindman

Herrin- Herminna D. Hindman, 84, of Herrin, passed away peacefully at 9:50 AM, Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin.

Herminna was born on March 15, 1923 in West Frankfort to Leonard & Audie (Burton) Melvin. She married Charles Ray Hindman on August 12, 1946 in Kansas City, KS. He preceded her in death on August 29, 1997.

She was a homemaker and attended Union Gospel Mission in Herrin.

Survivors include-

Daughter & son in law- Sandy & Steve Moore of Herrin
Grandchild- Lori Jones & husband Richard of Herrin
Grandchild- Steven Moore & wife Melissa of Benton
Grandchild- Jami Moore & wife Tara of Crainville
Six Great Grandchildren:
Zachary & Alex Jones of Herrin
Ryan & Slater Moore of Benton
Drew & Dylan Moore of Crainville
Sister & brother in law- Donna & Bob Wilson of Wake Village, TX
Sister- Patty Atchison of Ina, IL
Several nieces & nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers; Russell Darby, J.W. Melvin, Wayne Melvin, Kenneth Melvin & Robert Melvin, and two sisters; Ardella Melvin & Wanda Ballard.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Robert Jilek will officiate. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Herrin. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 PM, Monday, September 10, 2007 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
