Robert D. Baker

Robert D. Baker, age 71, of Marion, died at 7:45 P.M. on Friday, October 12, 2001, in Cardinal Health Care, Energy, Illinois. Visitation for Mr. Baker was from 9:00-10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 16th at Mitchell-Hughes. Graveside services followed at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion, with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Military rites were by Marion VFW Post #1301.

Mr. Baker was born July 22, 1930 in Marion, Illinois, to George and Flossie (Franklin) Baker. They preceded him in death. He married Wanda Price on October 18, 1954 in Marion. Mr. Baker was a retired security guard. He attended Community Chapel Church in Marion.

His survivors include his wife of Marion; two sons and three daughters and their spouses, Raymond Baker, David & Melony Baker, Carilee Baker, Sherry & Henry O�Conner, and Starla & Mike Smith; fifteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a half-brother, Carson Caraway and a half-sister, Vivian Edmonds, all of Marion. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Dale Baker and a half-sister, Lillian Barr.
