Thomas Wizranda

Herrin- Thomas \"Tommie\" Wizranda, 91, of Herrin, died at 12:30 A.M., Monday, September 10, 2001 at Herrin Hospital.

Mr. Wizranda was born on January 9, 1909 in Herrin to John & Margaret (Burroski) Wizranda.

Tommie worked as a coal miner until his retirement. When he was able, he enjoyed participating in activities and craftwork at Cardinal Health Care where he was a resident. He enjoyed his friends and the staff at the nursing home. He always had to have his morning coffee as soon as he woke up.

Nephew- John Lippert- Benton, IL
Niece- Bessie and husband William Ahten- Creve Coeur, IL
Niece- Jacqueline Joyce Walker- E. Peoria, IL
Several Great Nieces & Nephews

His parents and four brothers preceded him in death.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 12, 2001 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1-2:00 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
