Mable Frances Albright

Marion � Mable Frances Albright, 91, of Charleston, IL formerly of Marion, passed away on Sunday, October9, 2005 at 6:27 P.M. at the home of a family friend, Lisa Hill Doughty in Charleston, IL.

Mable was born October 5, 1914 to Charles M. and Laura (Motsinger) Parks in Marion. She married Ronald Albright on December 24, 1941 in Cape Girardeau, MO and he preceded her in death on June 11, 2004. They were happily married for over 62 years.

Mable attended Logan School and graduated from Marion High School in 1933. For 25 years Mable worked for F.W. Woolworth�s in Marion from 1930 � 1955, following that Mable and Ronald were the owners of Albright�s Clothing Store in downtown Marion for 44 years from 1955 � 1999. She was active in the First United Methodist Church serving for over 50 years as a Sunday School Teacher, where she taught ages ranging from pre-school to adult. In 1967 she received the Sunday School Teacher of the Year Award; in 1997 she received the Marion Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award. Mable enjoyed visiting with friends and drawing with children.

Nephew � Kim Conley and his wife Tricia of Herrin
Niece � Linda Hancock and her husband John of Marion
Special Family Friends � Lisa Hill Doughty, her husband Trevor and their three sons Darin, Derik and Dylan of Charleston, IL

Preceded by: Parents, Husband � Ronald, Half-Sister � Winifred Parks and Half-Brother � Charles Cyreno Parks

Funeral services will be Friday, October 14, 2005 at 1:30 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Marion with Rev. Victor Long officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11:30 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is handling the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 208 W. Main, Marion, Illinois 62959 or the Lincolnland Hospice, c/o Sarah Bush Lincoln Foundation, 700 W. Lincoln, Suite 800, Charleston, IL 61920. Envelopes will be available at the church or a Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
