JoAnn Bethel
Marion � JoAnn Bethel, 70, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at 9:52 A.M. at her home in Marion.
JoAnn was born February 28, 1935 in Carbondale to Phillip & Edna Cottonaro. She married William Gordon �Bill� Bethel on October 30, 1950 in Piggott, Arkansas and together they shared over 44 years of marriage until his death on February 8, 1995.
JoAnn worked for the Department of Defense; she was a supervisor at Olin Corporation. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church.
JoAnn is survived by:

Daughter-in-law � Denise Bethel of Springfield
Eleven Grandchildren
Seven Great Grandchildren
Brothers � Mike Flannigan
Albert Cottonaro
Preceded by: Parents, Husband, and Four sons � Bill G. Bethel, Jr., Terry L. Bethel, John Henry Bethel and Kenneth Bethel.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Joey Brent officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
For those who prefer memorials may be given to the American Lung Association. Envelopes will be available at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
