Christopher Jon Marlow

Herrin- Christopher Jon Marlow, 51, passed away at 5:35 PM, Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at his home in Herrin.
Chris was born on the Fourth of July 1953 to Phyllis (Parigi) & George J. Marlow, Jr. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin and a former member of the Herrin Knight�s of Columbus.
Mr. Marlow was a caterer for King�s Food Service in Herrin. One of Chris� passions was cooking and he was an exceptional chef. He was former owner of the Blue Heron in Herrin and worked for a longtime for his father at Southern Beverage Co. also in Herrin. He formerly worked as a safety inspector for area mines.
Chris enjoyed life and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed his family, hunting with his brothers, listening to music and attending rock concerts.

He was preceded in death by his father and one infant nephew; Michael Anthony Hughes.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 5, 2005 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Monsignor Ken Schaefer will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. A private inurnment service will be held by the family at a later date at San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin.
Memorial donations are suggested to OLMC/ St. Mary�s Education Foundation or towards a scholarship fund for Chris� grandchildren.
