I am sorry to hear of the loss of such a wonderful man. David was a very special teacher and friend. He was my Science teacher at Hurst-Bush , always full of hope and encouragement for me and his other students. When I thought I couldn't make it or do the work at hand, he told me that I could do anything I wanted in life...if I wasn't afraid to try...I have always said he was my favorite teacher, as he taught me to never give up and to believe in myself. Mr. Hindman was my 7th grade science taecher and basketball coach. He was a man I admired alot.I remember he had the ugliest little car and drove it to school every day. I was a student of Mr Hindmans at Hurst-Bush school the 82-83 school year. Will never forget him walking down the hallway singing Come on Baby light my fire but the doors. Makes me laugh to this day to think about it. He was a great teacher, actually made learning fun and interesting. I hate to hear of him passing. Sheri, I'm saddened to hear of David's death. I had heard he was battleing cancer and was not expected to survive. I'm sure it has been a tough period for you and the family. I have been out of town and could not come to the visitation or service but did want to acknowledge my feelings of sorrow for you and your family. David was always a friend even when we didn't see eye to eye on issues. May he rest in peace. John
