Wanda Lee Faber (Potter)

Wanda Lee Faber, 60 years old, of West Frankfort passed away at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale at 10:49pm on August 13, 2019.

Visitation will be at 11am on Monday, August 19th. Funeral services will commence at 1pm on August 19 at Mitchell Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.

Wanda was born in Hammond, Indiana to Eli and Rose (Best) Potter on April 2, 1959. She married Larry K. Faber on July 29, 1994 in Benton, IL. She was known professionally as a CNA/caregiver, but her more important role was that of a Wife, Mother and Grandmother “Nae Nae”.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents Eli and Rose Potter, her brother Michael Potter, and grandson Brett Sandifur.

Wanda was survived by her husband Larry K. Faber, her daughter Norma Tackett (Donald) of Zeigler, and son Clarence McCay (Charlie) of Royalton, her two sisters, several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Wanda lived a life full of love and laughter. She had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that was contagious. Those that had the honor of knowing her well, will remember her for her ability to make any situation humorous. She enjoyed shopping, crafting, playing Bingo with her husband and attending family events. She loved being a Nae Nae and doing everything in her power to “spoil” her grandchildren with treats. She was a beautiful, generous, kind hearted lady and she will be dearly missed.

The family of Wanda would like to extend their sincere thanks to everyone for their expression of kind words and thoughts. Memorials may be sent to Mitchell Hughes Funeral Home.
