when I remember Aunt Elsie, I think of summer. When Aunt Elsie & Uncle Robert would come to visit the family it was always summer. I will always remember the fact that she resembled Grandma so very much. On one of her last visits home she brought home a set of glasses that my Dad bought for her many years ago. I treasure them. Now she is reunited with Grandma, her big brother and little sister and her dad but most specially she and Uncle Robert are together again. Rest in Peace Aunt Elsie until the whole family is reunited again. I love you and will miss you.

Elsie had to be a great person to rear a fine gentleman like Edward. Our condolences to her family . . . may God’s Peace and Love be with her and her family.

My deepest sympathies to Linda, Don, Edward and entire Rodney Family. Elsie (“LC”) was very dear to me and I cherish all my memories of her. Even my own mom says that Elsie was my second mother throughout high school when I spent a lot of time at the Rodney place. She and Robert always welcomed me for as long as I wanted to visit and nourished me at their table and in their home. She lived a life of generosity, kindness, hard work and devotion to family and friends. She touched many people in her honest, loving way and will be remembered fondly by us all. A few years ago I visited her and introduced her to my son, Ronan, and she welcomed us with open arms and, of course, did not want us to leave. I will forever be grateful for Elsie’s influence on my life, even as I shed tears knowing she has departed from this life and that her spirit lives on in each of us and joyfully reunites with her dear Robert’s.

    With love, Daphne
