Herrin- Louetta Colp, age 100, of Herrin, passed away at 4:58pm on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin.

Louetta was born in Martwick, Kentucky on June 19, 1916, the daughter of Harry and Hettie (Hudson) Suthard. She married William Harvey Colp in Herrin on July 9, 1934.  He preceded her in death in June of 1968.

We are so very sorry for your loss but know that you know she is in a much better place. We can imagine her and our Mom (Mabel Brandon) laughing as they usually did as they were such close friends for several years.

I am so sorry to hear of granny’s passing. Granny was one of my moms best friends. The Colp family is like part of our family. I tried to visit granny whenever I came home to visit. She will be missed but she will suffer no more. I’m sorry I can’t be there but you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry Bill and Glenda on your mother’s passing. She is now praising God with all her family who went before her and the many saints of God from West Monroe Church. She is whole again -no pain- new eyes. She was one Godly Christian lady who loved everyone she met. God bless and comfort the family in the days ahead. She will be missed by all who knew her
